OKAY, EVERYONE CALM. Do not touch and restore anything. If you keep the backup that leaves you in ‘restore’ appear them with a lot of “+”, this will damage part of the code if they have more SIMBOLS “+” in it, such as: The fonts.

IT’S BETTER wait until tumblr fix this and do not touch ANYTHING IF WE WANT TO RECOVER THE THEME.

GET YOUR CODE BACK

doughnutrps:

hey, so i found a way to get your hard work back. i don’t think it will change on the actual blog but you can at least get your codes back for when this is fixed. i’m sure other people have fixes this, but just in case, here’s my fix

image
  • click “show changes” on your latest entry:
  • copy that code
  • open “notepad” and use the replace tool to get rid of your + symbols
  • if you have javascript, you might want to go through it and make sure there’s no +s inside the code that it’ll need to functiion
  • save it to your computer
  • EDIIT: DO NOT TRY TO FIX YOUR THEME BEFORE SAVING THE CODE TO YOUR COMPUTER, some people are saying this deletes the codes complete and makes the customize page untouchable

hopefully someone else finds a better way, but this way you all haven’t lost  your beautiful custom themes

psa. if we’re mutuals, we’re automatically friends. u don’t need to say things like “sorry to bother” or “sorry im annoying” bc ur not. ur my friend. u can come to me for anything. u need help? im here. wanna chat? hmu. just wanna gush abt your muse? go for it. we’re friends. ily.

Today i just realize how hard people try to be a big famous blog, but they don’t know how hard is that. Being known is trash, don’t believe in the pretty face of the coin, there’s some deep dark side and that side is ugly. There’s hate, a lot of hate. It’s better to be comfortable being a little blog and do what you love to be a big one with a lot of people watching every ‘mistake’ you made and then start to send you shit. You don’t need to be ‘big’ to be 'good’, you need your own confidence, not the compliments of others to feel good enough.

!!!!!!!DO NOT IGNORE!

2012-2013 roleplays? did u mean: the years where u were lucky to see a gay man in your roleplay and even luckier if u saw them in a gay relationship? but u never really did because ya girls thought that they could make them straight. did you mean the years of tragic backstories and triggering content being portrayed incorrectly just for the sake of drama? did you mean the height of asylum/institute rps where the romanticization of mental illness was the only reason they got apps? did you mean the years where no one new the meaning of intersectionality in their roleplays? where the world was run by cis straight males and females? where it wa okay to have all whites and no pocs? where there was NO “other” option in your applications for gender identity? where it was considered cute and OKAY to have selena gomez and zayn malik as siblings? where vanessa hudgens was considered a white woman? when all of ya girls were written as petite curvy short girls with pretty eyes and soft hair? where imperfections in appearance were left just as that - imperfections. where although you say we were great writers - there were only basic white girls being played instead of strong and empowering women? where boys were only interesting if they were dark and mysterious? oh, where the fan-fiction “dark” was popular and drove so many plots where it was chill to have an abusive an dark character because it was “sexy” and it didn’t matter because he still loved her!! where having your female character’s past riddled with abuse was completely okay and actually “quirky” and different AND MADE THEM WHO THEY WERE AS A PERSON? oh and if you did rp a person of colour, they had to be the stereotypical version of their race? cause they were nothing more than black and thats what ran their storyline? where a muslim girl was no where to be seen? where token gay friends were actually a thing?

ya girl, i love reminiscing bout the old times.

i understand wanting to make a name for yourself in this community. i think we can all relate to wondering whether a new original character will take off, or whether we are doing our canon character justice. that’s normal. it’s to be expected. however, i can promise you that people will respect you more if you take the time to really think about your character. you don’t have to know every little detail about them ( those details sometimes fall into place as you write ), but put some thought into who they are. consider their expression when they realize they’re in love for the first time, or the pain that radiates from their chest when they lose someone important. think about how they look when they first wake up in the morning, and what words spill from their lips when they’ve had too much to drink or are simply high on life at four am. REALLY PUT YOUR MIND TO WORK AND THINK ABOUT THE LITTLE THINGS THAT MAKE UP WHO YOUR CHARACTER IS. don’t steal from someone else. don’t take what they’ve thought up and worked hard to create. people will see what you’ve done and they will lose respect for you. you’re dooming yourself before you even have a chance to see whether that new character of yours can fly. don’t do that to yourself. don’t do that to anyone else, either.
